Navratri at CEPT

Here are some pictures of the Navratri decorations at CEPT

I wish I could post the videos of the dancing, but the internet just can't handle it. Even small videos take forever and with the internet losing connectivity then I have to start over.

  1. All those lanterns are really neat! I really like the ball one.. Sorry I have to go every time you are online!

Haha, i can understand about the video. I took my webcam with me to Croatia, but soon realized there was no way the bandwith would be able to handle it!

  2. Hey Lindsay...
finally I figured this site out...
Lovethe pics and the stories... I have been looking at your posts however did not post any coments (too busy or just did not do it) anyway from now on I try to post soemthing...
Ilove your stories and the fat that I can hear about life on a different continent from soemone who is actually there. I would love to try the food. Matter a fact I had lunch in a ne Indian restaurant here is town. The food was great. I wonder how different it is from what you are eating there. (I can never remember the names of the dishes though...lol)
Good luck with your finding your way around...
BTW I had a question: Do they have english signs up for road names or not? I thought they would but I never been there...

  4. Yes, most signs and things are in English. However, in Gandhinagar, the city I am studying, the answer is no, not really. So in the cities, yes, smaller places, probably not. The food is different than what you get in Indian restaurants at home. At home most of the food at restaurants is from north India, and there is far less variety than here. Also depending on the part of the country, many many people are vegetarian. The state I am in is predomintately veg. In fact we can't even cook meat in our apartment.

Yeah the lanterns are cool, they seem to be pretty fragile though. I keep seeing them broken.
